In 2017 we started the 12x12 project with company member Josh Taylor, a cyberpunk-electronica artist who writes as Jupiter Rex. With solid instincts for scoring film, dance, and theatre, he works with Taffety Punk as a composer and sound designer on many of our theatre and dance projects. In addition to the scores he composes, we knew there was tons more material that he had yet to release to the world. We decided to release one song each month throughout the year. By New Years's eve, we had the material for an entire album.

This was a Taffety Punk Generator project number 12 (appropriately enough). The Generator is our internal artistic combustion engine, a way for us to help our company members realize their artistic impulses.

Taffety Punk exists to sustain a collection of actors, dancers, and musicians, who make theatre exciting, meaningful and affordable. We think of ourselves as a band, a theatre band if you will, in which acting, dance, and music are intricately linked. By focusing on the needs of the artists our work is more vivid, deep and meaningful to audiences. Since 2004, these principles have guided us. Our ensemble of artists grow together, complimenting each other, challenging each other, and establishing a relationship with our community.
